Nice Blog Jayne :)

I actually know a receptionsist who also did the cleaning in the office as well! How surreal! (Although it was her choice and wasn't made to do it :p)

I totally agree the job spec is massively important. It stops issues developing at interviews etc (can you tell i've been here before?).

I couldn't agree more Jayne!! Both job descriptions and people descriptions are key in recruiting the right staff but are also equally important when it comes to staff in existing roles.

You'd be amazed at the number of employees that don't have job descriptions.......makes and Employers life that much more difficult when it comes to managing performance!

BTW, we offer a Free Job Board to Employers (and recruitment companies) so if you've got any vacancies that you're looking to fill please don't hesitate to post them on our job board!
