Should consumers expect price rises?

In light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, should consumers expect price rises when businesses eventually “get back to normal”? Maybe consumers/employees could see a double whammy, tax rises and product/service price increases. Whatever happens, it is going to be a very difficult to get back to anywhere near normality.

Those consumers who expect to get the "bargains of a lifetime" once the pandemic is over will be in for a major surprise. Businesses are struggling and will need to recoup as much money as possible as quickly as possible. Yes, expect a rise in consumer products!
