Empty retail outlet

I have an empty retail unit on a retail park at Lakeside, West Thurrock, U.K. and am needing ideas of what to fill it with, it has expensive rent so the business will need to make fairly decent money, I think it’s around 1000-1200 square feet. Just need suggestions on what could work or how I could best find out what would work for this area, thanks

One pair of front windscreen wipers for a C4 Grand Picasso over here in a well known motoring shop £62, online for exactly the same wipers £39 and some here think that shopping local is the way to go. If most of the shops closed in Strand Street or wherever I wouldn't be arsed as long as something replaced them just don't leave them empty.



As stated before by someone earlier on in this thread small niche specialist shops are the way to go, for example a proper delicatessen would go down a treat, also a patisserie selling beautiful cakes and pastries. People will spend money on what would be luxury goods but only if they are bloody good and the alternatives are piss poor, again I offer you the cakes (and I use the term loosely) from our well known bakers outlets or a specialist handmade cup cake which is adorned with fantastic artistic icing and decoration which would be your choice if the latter was priced at say £1.50 and the former at £1.00?
