A lot of image tools work the same way. You upload your file, it goes off to someone's server, you make an account, and you get the result back.
When I built my vector app I went the other way. Everything runs on the PC, nothing gets uploaded and there's no account to set up.
Part of the reason is simple. A logo belongs to a business, and getting a print file shouldn't mean handing it to a website first.
The catch is that it only runs on Windows, so anyone on a Mac is left out. That's the trade I made.
I'm curious whether this matters to anyone but me. Do you think twice before putting a logo or a client's file into a free online tool, or is it just not something you worry about?
