Where can I find free legal documents/contracts?

I'm after a free simple template legal contract to give to a sponsor who has agreed to pay for some software for our charity forum in return for 12 months advertising.

Does anyone have any idea where I'd find one online?

I think Google would be your first port of call but I wouldn't think you would be able to find one thay would cover all your needs. When it comes to legal advice there is nothing "free". Would it be worth asking a local solicitor to draw something up in return for a bit of advertising? It wouldn't think it would take long to draft something.

It's just a brief agreement, nothing too intricate. I might draw one up myself and run it past a friend who's a lawyer.

Ross,

I'm wandering if this really merits a contract. Can you not just write down what has been agreed and get both parties to sign it. I would go with your suggestion of running it past your lawyer friend as I think this is a relatively simple transaction :)

Well this WOULD in law be a contract.....

X agrees to give Y two polo mints in exchange for which y agrees to give X two rollos....

And your brief contract (if this is what and who I'm thinking of) is supported by a WHOLE bunch of witnesses and the records of the offer being made and accepted.... And just to seal the whole thing up tightly I have the strongest suspicions you might be dealing with a gentleman of the utmost integrity....

Back of a fag packet should be fine ;)
