Warning - Scam

I have just been emailed an invitation to a networking lunch in Edinburgh cost £30.00 organised by an out of town company. The glossy flyer claims 40 people have already booked on. When I checked the list of attendees I did not recognise one of them and anyone who networks in Edinburgh knows we all constantly bump into each other. I smelt a rat and then I googled every name and company on the list and none of them have a website I could find - out of forty? Also there is an unusually large number of company names that used the initials of the attendee. Can I suggest anyone considering this event forgets it and sticks to networking events like the PLC and the chamber we all know work and they don't lie to us.

Please do not be conned into joining this organisation or paying for this lunch.

In my humble opinion when you tell lies you may win the battle but sooner or later you will be find out and you will lose the war.

This lot wouldn't be based in or around Kinross by any chance? Or South Queensferry?
