In case our elustrious leading doesn't get the chance.

Several of us are meeting in Edinburgh tonight (the 13th of March)....at the Standing Order bar on George Street, from 7:30 onwards.

We would be delighted if you could join us and a few drinks.

Gordon insisted we go somewhere seedy afterwards, but I felt we all slummed it remarkably well .

Welcome to The Standing Order. I've been there when it's not even busy or crowded and it still takes an eternity to get served. It seems to be staffed by kids who spend ages walking from one end of the enormously long bar to the other, dithering over something that's on their mind, but not the drinks orders.

Never go in there expecting to get served quickly and if it's busy you can usually expect it to be three deep at the bar with only half a person serving!
