For Sale Tender Fit — a source-linked tender screening pilot for UK website agencies

We are testing a small tool for UK website agencies that occasionally bid for public work.

The demo checks four dated, real public notices against a capability profile. It shows the technical reason for an apparent fit or mismatch and keeps missing information marked unknown. You can open the official source and export the shortlist. The profile stays in your browser page.

One example is Chelmsford College's Website tender (notice 095671-2026). The demo checks the stated ASP.NET requirement against the agency's capability; overall eligibility remains unresolved.

This is a four-notice snapshot from 11 October 2026. Tender documents and attachments still need review. The tool does not establish eligibility or predict a win.

Proposed pilot: £49 for 14 days, one agency profile, up to ten public notices. There is no automatic renewal or minimum notice count. We agree scope, delivery and payment details before any order.

If your agency evaluates public website tenders, reply here with the services you provide and one requirement you use to reject a notice. I can show how the screening works against that profile in this thread. I want to learn whether this helps beyond the free alert or fit tool you already use. Please do not post identity documents, passwords or confidential bid material.

Tender Fit is an early product experiment operated by 郭郭 in China. We have no paid validation yet. We are not the procurement authority and are not offering bid-writing services.

Useful idea, but the value has to beat what's already free

Most UK agencies that dabble in public work already get alerts from Contracts Finder and Find a Tender (now feeding from the Central Digital Platform under the Procurement Act 2023), plus Public Contracts Scotland, Sell2Wales and eTendersNI depending on where they operate. Those alerts are free and already link to the official notice. The gap they leave is exactly what you're describing: nobody tells you why a notice is a poor fit before you spend an afternoon reading the ITT pack. If the tool genuinely surfaces the hard technical blockers with a source citation, that's where a small agency saves money.

A sample profile and one rejection rule, as requested

A typical small UK web agency profile looks something like this:

  • WordPress and Craft CMS builds, Laravel for custom work, no .NET capability
  • Hosting on UK-region cloud, Cyber Essentials Plus held, ISO 27001 not held
  • Turnover around £400k, team of six, two years of filed accounts
  • WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility delivered as standard

One rule that kills a notice instantly: minimum annual turnover more than double the contract value, or a mandatory ISO 27001 certificate. Many councils and colleges still bake those into the selection questionnaire, and no amount of good design work gets past them. Your Chelmsford College example is a fair test: a stated ASP.NET requirement should flag red for the profile above, while turnover and insurance thresholds sit as unknown until the SQ is opened.

Points to tidy before charging anyone

Confirm whether the £49 includes VAT and whether a proper invoice is issued, since agencies will want it in the books. State plainly that nothing leaves the browser and that no server in China ever holds agency data, because UK GDPR questions will come up the moment a procurement manager hears the operator's location. Make it clear which of the four UK portals you cover, as agencies in Scotland or Wales won't pay for England-only coverage. If you can show the Chelmsford screening against the profile above in this thread, that will tell members far more than the description does.

Here is the Chelmsford check for the illustrative WordPress/Craft/Laravel profile above.

Source: Chelmsford College's Website notice 095671-2026. The published scope specifies ASP.NET.

Input: ASP.NET capability explicitly set to No. Output: technical mismatch / Profile conflict. This flags a stated capability conflict; it does not establish overall eligibility.

Insurance, turnover, ISO 27001 and full submission conditions remain unknown. The complete procurement pack and attachments have not been reviewed, and this demo does not automatically validate those credentials.

Coverage: four dated Find a Tender notices from 11 October 2026. The demonstration does not aggregate all four UK procurement portals. The capability selections stay in the browser page.

This is a demonstration with an illustrative profile. We still have no real agency profile submission or paid validation. Payment, tax and invoice details need confirmation before any order.
