Taking Personal Control
Do you feel that you are in control of yourself and your actions or do you feel in a constant state of reaction?
Time management has quite rightly got itself a bad name because of two key reasons. Firstly we can’t manage time – it’s a dimension we work in. Secondly it puts the responsibility elsewhere and not where it lies – with us.
At this POWER TALK and networking event in Edinburgh on the 3rd of September Bill will share October Bill will share with us the simple techniques used in his Taking Personal Control process that will provide your answers.
“Applying the skills from ‘Taking Personal Control’, has made a major impact on my work life balance. – Ray Walkinshaw, Housing Association Manager
As a trainer of time management since the early 1990’s Bill has never been happy with the one size fits all approach, especially in these work style of the 21st century. Being swamped with work means people need a way to get their head above the water.
At this session you will:
* Understand the 3 types of work
* Identify what you need to become organized
* How to make a To Do list worth the paper
* Reduce your email box to zero
“The organisation process that Bill Implemented has enabled our business to become more streamlined in our working practices. All our staff work to the process and this means that anyone understands the stage of each project or task. It clears the pile of administration into manageable chunks making us more efficient and profitable. Louise Strutt IFA
Bill Atkinson has been running P3 Leadership, his own Learning & Development Consultancy, since January 2000. Bill has had a wide range of work experiences which began with a career as an army officer, serving in both the infantry and military police. He commanded police units in the Falkland Islands and also here in Edinburgh. He got a medal at the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games for work on the security and transport aspects. He has his fair share of war stories which are only regaled after a lot of drink has been taken (more than the PLC supply). Bill has worked with public and private sector organization in UK, Europe and both Middle and Far East.
