Marketing guy retraining in trades - looking to team up with local plumber or spark to exchange leads for on-site experience, to qualify with a NVQ (Portsmouth, Hampshire)

I want to collaborate in a relationship that benefits from me bringing my background in digital marketing.

My future ambition...

is to scale a future-proof multi-trade business in the UK (help secure council tenders, sustainability initiatives, utilise AI etc)

Would you be open to a chat about collaborating? I can bring in leads and help on jobs in exchange for hands-on experience.

Available part-time now, with room to grow into a full working partnership.

Coming from a marketing background could actually be a useful advantage when moving into a trade. A lot of skilled tradespeople are excellent at their work but don't necessarily have the time or experience to market themselves effectively.

Understanding things like local search, customer reviews, lead generation, social media and a professional website can help a new trades business stand out from competitors. The practical trade skills still need to come first, but strong marketing can make it easier to build a steady pipeline of customers.

I'd focus on learning the trade properly while using the existing marketing experience to build the business gradually. That combination could be quite valuable in the long run.
