For Sale ScoutRail: find companies to approach for the service you sell

[ScoutRail]

ScoutRail here. We help service businesses research companies to approach for new work.

Describe what you sell and where you want customers. ScoutRail returns a suggested company, a link to its website and a first message you can review before sending.

For example, a search for commercial office cleaning in Cape Town returned Molteno Dental Practice as a “Possible fit”. Its website confirms a practice in Cape Town. That does not mean it is looking for a new cleaner; the next step is to ask.

It is free to try. Paid-plan pricing is on the site.

If you get stuck on your first search, reply with your service and target area and we can help.

Worth flagging for anyone testing this from the UK: under PECR, unsolicited marketing emails to sole traders and ordinary partnerships are treated the same as emails to consumers, so prior consent is needed. Limited companies and LLPs can be approached without it, provided you identify yourself and offer an opt-out. Scottish partnerships count as corporate bodies, so the rules differ north of the border.

That makes the legal form of the target business the first check before hitting send. A dental practice run as a partnership is a very different case from a Ltd facilities firm. Companies House is free and takes thirty seconds.

Questions for ScoutRail: where does the company data come from, how often is it refreshed, and does the tool flag business structure? The honest "possible fit" caveat is welcome. Treat the output as a prompt for a phone call or a tailored email, not a mailing list.
