Quick caution for anyone reading this “admission announcement”

This forum is General Business Discussion, and posts asking people to ring a personal mobile number to secure admissions are a common route for scams or unofficial “agents”. That doesn’t mean this is fake, but anyone considering applying should verify it through official channels before paying any money or sharing personal details.

A sensible way to check legitimacy:
  • Confirm the School of Nursing, Eket has an official website and that the same admission notice appears there.
  • Call the school via a publicly listed landline or switchboard (not only a mobile number in an advert).
  • Ask for the application portal link, official email domain, and a receipt process that matches the institution’s normal finance office.
  • Never pay “registration” fees into a personal account; insist on an official invoice/receipt and named school bank details.

If anyone is being asked to pay quickly, send WhatsApp screenshots, or “reserve a slot”, treat that as a red flag. Keep everything in writing and don’t hand over WAEC/NECO details, NIN, passport photo, or bank info until the school’s identity is confirmed.

If the original poster can share an official website link and the admissions office email address, it will help people validate the announcement properly.
