Not sure how many off you use Sage but i have just received a link advising that there releasing the updated version. There is the ability to test drive it to see what you think.

Hi

I am going to have to get a package to be able to submit our partnership tax return online.

Nothing fancy required and I certainly wouldn`t consider 3500 for this Sage product. Can anyone recommend a basic package that will enable me to do a partnership tax return and possibly a basic P&L a/c

Here is a link onto the HMRC website, it lists some of the software providers that may be able to help. Not sure how much they charge but you'll be able to have a good look.

I'm still getting to grips with it, but Microsoft Accounting might well do exactly what you need. Have a look here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/accounting/FX100518171033.aspx

You might even be able to use the Express (Free) version

Not sure if the accounting express will do what you want, it's mainly for small start ups. I don't think it has the capability for partnership accounts etc.
