Lied again?

[Markypro]

Just been watching the news about how the UK has recovered from covid. Politicians lied about the UK being ahead of France and Italy when recovering from covid, then the news shows a graph about how the UK hasn't recovered from covid. Court out live on TV. Why do they lie?

There are a lot of reasons why politicians might lie, so it is hard to say why they might do it. They might be trying to relay a positive narrative to boost public morale, or they might be trying to draw attention away from other problems.
