Digital Asset Security, Blockchain Intelligence & Incident Response

As digital assets become increasingly integrated into corporate treasury, investment, and financial operations, organizations require sophisticated capabilities to manage blockchain-related risk, investigate anomalous activity, and respond effectively to digital-asset incidents.

Grayware Tech Services delivers specialized digital-asset security, blockchain intelligence, cryptocurrency forensics, and incident-response support for individuals, businesses, and organizations operating within the digital-asset ecosystem.

Strategic Capabilities

  • Digital Asset Security Assessments — evaluation of wallet architecture, custody practices, transaction controls, and potential exposure points.
  • Blockchain Intelligence — structured analysis of on-chain activity, transaction histories, addresses, and asset movements.
  • Cryptocurrency Forensics — investigation of suspicious or unauthorized digital-asset activity using verifiable blockchain evidence.
  • Transaction & Asset-Flow Analysis — reconstruction of transaction pathways and movement across relevant addresses and blockchain infrastructure.
  • Wallet & Address Intelligence — analysis of address activity, behavioral patterns, relationships, and observable transaction networks.
  • Smart-Contract & Protocol Analysis — examination of contract interactions, token transfers, approvals, swaps, bridges, and decentralized applications.
  • Cross-Chain Intelligence — analysis of relevant asset movements across supported blockchain networks and bridging infrastructure.
  • Incident Response & Evidence Management — structured documentation and preservation of blockchain evidence following suspected security incidents.
  • Digital-Asset Risk Advisory — identification of operational and transaction-level risks with recommendations for improved security controls.
  • Recovery-Oriented Investigations — investigative support for identifying legitimate avenues that may exist following unauthorized asset transfers.

Evidence-Driven Intelligence

Our approach is grounded in technical analysis, documented evidence, structured investigative methodology, and disciplined reporting. Blockchain activity can provide a detailed record of asset movements; our role is to transform complex on-chain data into structured intelligence that can support informed decision-making.

Where appropriate, investigations may examine transaction hashes, block data, wallet histories, token movements, smart-contract events, address relationships, cross-chain activity, and interactions with identifiable exchanges or blockchain services.

Findings can be organized into professional investigative documentation designed to support internal security teams, compliance functions, exchange reporting, authorized investigations, legal professionals, and other appropriate stakeholders.

Security. Intelligence. Response.

Digital-asset incidents can develop rapidly. Early preservation of relevant blockchain evidence and disciplined analysis can be critical to understanding exposure, establishing transaction flows, and determining appropriate next steps.

Grayware Tech Services provides a discreet, evidence-focused approach to digital-asset security and blockchain investigations—helping clients move from uncertainty to a clearer understanding of the underlying activity.

A word of caution before anyone emails that address

The thread title asks a fair question, but the post itself reads like a marketing piece, and the banner image gives the game away: "How to hire a recovery expert for Bitcoin recovery". Anyone who runs a business and has looked at crypto risk will know that "recovery services" are one of the most common follow-on scams. Victims of a crypto theft get approached by someone promising to trace and retrieve the funds, pay an upfront fee, and lose a second time.

A few red flags worth pointing out here:

  • A US phone number and a generic email, with no UK company name, registered office, or Companies House number.
  • No FCA registration mentioned. Firms carrying out cryptoasset activity in the UK need to be registered with the FCA for anti-money-laundering purposes, and you can check this on the FCA register.
  • Promises of "recovery support" for assets already moved on-chain. Once coins leave a wallet, getting them back usually depends on an exchange freezing funds or a court order, not a private firm with a WhatsApp number.

What a UK business should actually do

If your Ltd company or partnership holds digital assets, treat them like cash in a safe. Use a hardware wallet rather than exchange custody for anything meaningful, set up multi-signature approval so no single director can move funds alone, and document who holds keys and where backups are stored. Keep this separate from personal holdings, both for security and for your accountant's sanity at year end.

If something does go wrong, report it to Action Fraud (England, Wales, Northern Ireland) or Police Scotland, notify the exchange involved immediately so they can freeze the destination account if possible, and speak to a solicitor who deals with crypto disputes if the sum justifies it. Legitimate forensic firms exist, but they work through law firms and insurers, not cold adverts on business forums.

Short version: strengthen your own controls, and be very wary of anyone offering to get stolen crypto back for a fee.
