Is the high street really dead?

I have a sneaking suspicion that eventually we will turn full-circle and a significant portion of consumers will demand shops on the high street. In the meantime, it is not difficult to see that high streets across the UK are dying a sad death by a thousand cuts. You can understand local authorities not racing to roll out financial assistance because many of these businesses are simply not viable.

Do you have a sneaking suspicion we will turn full-circle at some point?
