Do you still get useful traffic or customers from Facebook, or are other platforms performing better now?

Depends heavily on who your customers are and where they live. For a local trade, shop or service business in the UK, Facebook still pulls its weight, mostly through community groups, Marketplace and those "can anyone recommend a decent electrician in Stockport" threads. Organic reach from a business page on its own is poor these days, so treat the page as a shop window rather than a traffic source.

Paid Facebook and Instagram ads (same Ads Manager) can still deliver for tight local targeting, but costs have crept up and results need tracking properly rather than trusting the dashboard figures.

For B2B, LinkedIn tends to outperform it. Younger consumer audiences are more reachable on TikTok and Instagram. Google Business Profile is often the better use of an hour for anyone selling locally.
