Is an e-card at Xmas cheap?

I'm sure we all receive many corporate christmas cards over the festive period but if you were sent a christmas e-card sent by email instead with the money saved going to a charity how would you perceive it and what if anything could give it more credibility?

No...it's saving the environment.....think of all the tree's saved....but of course the down side it he paper industry suffers....and postal services...and the inks companies, and stationers....and my mother would have nothing to moan about!!:lol::lol::lol:

I think it's the best way for saving money wise. I did it at my last company and will be doing it again this year too. With a nice special offer too.

Sending ecard for Xmas is definitely a good idea.

Sending just 50 paper cards is very bad for the environment. Check this out.

Guaranteed to wind up in the spam filter and really piss me off.... I get enough junk email already...

Given that Christmas is a religious holiday I've always felt in inappropriate to send business Christmas cards. Not everyone's from a Christian background or tradition. And some who are resent the commercialisation of what they view as a very 'sacred' time... In fact so do some who aren't!

In the new year I send out little credit-card sized plastic calenders together with a covering letter wishing folk well and directing them to my new year offers.... I do find folk hang onto them; they're useful and don't offend anyone's religious sensitivities...

The corporate spam filter is definitely more picky than the major ISPs.

You can be politically correct like many in the US and send "happy holiday" cards

It's not even really 'political' correctness.... If anything a 'Happy Holidays' card will offend more UK based people as it's viewed as a bit trashy and 'americanized' [sic]...

Christmas is for families... 'Happy New Commercial Opportunity' comes AFTER we've all taken a break from work IMHO..... And it's that impinging on a time that's meant for friends and family that will give offence as much as any religious considerations.
