Internet use "Good for the brain"

A really amusing story today on the BBC website saying that using the internet is actually good for the brain. Given the amount of time I spend on it each day I must be classed as a genius :lol:

It does bring up some really interesting questions though. How much time do we all spend online each day and what would we do if we didn't have the internet?

Without reading the article I am guessing they are talking about older people and how using the Internet and new technical stuff in general keeps their neurons firing. The same can be said for younger people but you would have to find much more complex tasks than the Internet. I have met a few older people who are much more switched on than others and in general I think it is fair to say that they were more into trying new stuff outwith their comfort zone.
