Hello everyone,

One of my new year's resolutions was to make time away from producing, directing, organising, the office, corporate gigs etc for me to "simply sing".

The plan is to get right back to basics, right back to my roots, singing the material most dear to my heart, jazz & swing, in an intimate setting.

So I talked to my good friend Tom Finlay and asked him to join me on piano (and doubtless he'll be adding comments with his usual ascerbic wit!) and talked to the folks at The Compass Bar & Grill (one of my favourite haunts) and asked if we could set up in the corner once a week for a couple of months and just make some nice music.

They all said yes and so from Tuesday 17th March you can find Tom & I in The Compass. We'll be there every Tuesday till 26th May.

The Compass has great food and fairly limited space so we suggest you book a table and have a bite to eat, that way ensuring you get a seat!

We know it's a school night so we made it early, two sets 7:30pm till 8:30pm & 9:00pm till 10pm so you can all "have your tea" and still be tucked up in bed at a sensible hour ready for a busy Wednesday.

We welcome any & all of our showbiz chums to pop along and "sit in" with us and simply have some fun.

So we'd, I'd, be happy for you to join us and share with me while I focus on my Kung Fu.

(gōngfu: which loosely translated means skill or art, that labour into which you put sincere and passionate practice).

Namaste.

Oh yes! I should also mention that on the second week, Tuesday 24th March, we will also be launching a photographic exhibition by the amazing Ryan McGoverne, for those of you who have taken a look at the photos from my Cool Yule show you'll have an idea of what a talent he is. His amazing photos of performers & performance will be all over the walls of The Compass.

Oh and did I mention....IT'S FREE !!!
