Hi All,

Over the next few days I am going to try and build this thread into a resource for good seo sites etc. I'd obviously appreciate you sharing sites or books etc that you have found helped you with SEO. I'm hoping this forum will be very busy as things go forward as I know it's an area that a number of our members are interested in.

:)

Why have I never came across Sphinn before then? Totally new to me!

Another one I use quite a lot is Aaron Walls Seo Book.

Like Dave mention Seomoz is great. It has what's called a university and it takes you through an seo course thats completely free that shows you all about seo. It has quizzes all the way through it to measure how well you've grasped each subject and you have to attain a certain score to pass each section.

I should have said that as well. Hopefully we can get Dave to agree to a seminar on the web and seo etc ;) I think it would be of tremendous value to lots of people on here to have a mentor and guide on this very important topic.

You know, that's not a bad idea! We should rent a conference room and everyone could do a 20-30 minute presentation about their specialist subject.

... mine is eating! :D

Google is a good SEO resource link:yourdomain.com to check your links although Yahoo is better for this.
allinanchor:keyphrase to check sites with most anchor text linking in for that keyphrase.

In addition, another good one is use Google alerts to get the latest SEO info.
