Finance Bill: Plans to cap tax repayment time limits - 02 Jun 2008
An interesting article on accountingweb about a proposed change in the law regarding HMRC's liability with regards to overpayment of tax by the tax payer. While HMRC can go back 6 years for underpayment of tax they want the law changed so that overpayment can only go back four years
Incredible I know but hardly surprising and it's also hidden in a yet to be discusses Finance Bill.
