Employment Law Changes in 2009

Some useful advice for members, re: changes about to occur in April 09 include:
:thumbup:Statutory annual leave entitlement will increase
:blink:Statutory maternity, paternity and adoption pay will increase
:huh:Statutory sick pay (flat rate SSP) will increase
:confused1:Employment Act 08 will come into force with the existing dismissal, disciplinary and grievance procedures repealed. A revised code will replace the statutory procedures.

Heads up, as existing employment contracts/ staff handbooks, will need to be amended!!
