Domain Problem

Hi All,

I have a clients domain and updated the namerserver on Friday to an external webhost. Nothing out of the ordinary.

now this morning when i checked it i get a spam parking page:

#health health insurance company private at mobile-reflexology.co.uk

i've just reversed the dns change back to a lycos parking page but wondered if this has happended to anybody.

I'm waiting on the change to propagate.

More worringly as well if you look at the source of the page, my IP address of my internet connection is on it.

What's that all about?

When i look at the source it has my IP address on it.

Odd...

You seem to have been nobbled by nuseek.com and they are redirecting it to a PPC domain

The name servers are listed as:
dns1.name-services.com
dns2.name-services.com
Last updated: 17-Jul-2008

The domain is with the registrar United Domains
URL: united-domains.de - Domain-Namen schnell und einfach registrieren

If this shoudln't be the case you can always use Nominet to change the ips tag but it costs a tenner I think from memory.

the registrar is correct as that is Lycos.

The name servers should be lycos as well:
nshost1.st2.lyceu.net
nshost2.st2.lyceu.net
nshost3.st2.lyceu.net

Oh god how the hell do i fix this?

When your registrar updates the name servers you can check it in the whois, Nominet update in virtually real time, you can check the listed name servers here

webwhois.nic.uk/cgi-bin/whois.cgi?query=mobile-reflexology.co.uk

Get on the phone to your registrar and don't accept any jibberish about propagation, name servers can be changed by them instantly which you can see & check and after it shows in the whois then it propgates.
