Did the Easter Holidays give your business a break?

The Scottish newspapers are reporting that it sems to have been a good couple of weeks for local businesses, as the combination of good weather and the school holidays has got people out and about and spending money.

My business isn't at all tourism related so I can't speak from any business viewpoint, but in general, I know that i've been out and about quite a lot, have taken the kids on a couple of good trips, and the local high street has finally got a bit of a buzz about it.

45% up on last April and expect to be over 50% up by end of the month. May is looking a bit more challenging though so need to get my finger out

maybe we're all becoming wise to the fact that April and May is as close as we'll get to summer!

I have to say i'm also finding little stirrings of positivity coming though in some areas.

Easter kind of came and went in a flash and wasn't anything like a break for me :(

I think the general consensus also seems to be that maybe we're beginning to start turning the corner. We can only hope and in the meantime keep an eye on cashflow because cash is still king just now :)
