Greetings,

I have interest of investing in your country as well as seek your services in a private and confidential matter. I am a senior Auditor heading computing department here in our bank.

On my routine inspection I discovered a dormant account that does not belong to anybody with a Balance of ($3.850 Million USD}.I write to seek your indulgence and assistance in transferring this fund to your country through legal means.
I am proposing to make this transfer to a designated bank account of your choice in your country for investment. At the conclusion of this transaction, you will be given 30% of the total amount, 70% will be for me.
Call me immediately you get this message; +233541891811

Let me know if you can handle it.

Regards
Mr Peter Kwesi

Ask him for 45% and if he says yes, then you'll know it's a con :D

Sorry, Peter .... I still don't get it. I've read the email and can't see anything unusual. I'm obviously missing something.

I have a feeling that this should maybe have been posted in the 'Non-Business Chat' forum as a bit of humour rather than the Marketplace. I get these kind of emails occasionally and treat them as the spam they are.

I once had a very greedy client who took said email to his solicitor and his accountant and paid them to advise him whether or not this would be a worthwhile investment.

Nowt as daft as folk.

Sorry to labour this point, but I still don't see the point of this discussion. We all agree that the email is a typical scam, of the type of all of us have received by the cart-load. I can't see anything unusual about it. Peter, what point are you making? Or, do we infer that this is the first example of this scam you've seen?
