Looks like a sensible product for a sector where underpricing is rife. Plenty of self-employed cleaners quote on gut feel, forget their own overheads, and end up working for less than minimum wage once travel and materials are counted. A spreadsheet that forces the numbers into the open is worth more than £19.99 to most of them.

A few questions that would help people on here decide whether to buy:

  • Does the labour cost section let you set an hourly rate per cleaner, and does it factor in employer National Insurance and holiday pay for anyone with staff? From April 2025 employer NI is 15% above a £5,000 threshold, which catches a lot of small firms out, although Employment Allowance can offset up to £10,500 of it.
  • Is there a VAT toggle? Anyone approaching the £90,000 threshold needs to see prices both with and without VAT, especially for commercial contracts where the client can reclaim it.
  • For travel, does it default to HMRC's 45p per mile (first 10,000 miles) or let the user put in actual fuel and vehicle costs?
  • Is there somewhere to load fixed overheads such as public liability insurance, DBS checks, uniforms, and equipment replacement, and then spread those across jobs? That is the bit most cleaners miss entirely.
  • Does it handle both hourly domestic work and fixed-price commercial contracts, or is it built around one model?
  • Will it open properly in Google Sheets or LibreOffice, or does it rely on Excel-only features like macros?

On the quotation side, it would be worth confirming whether the template includes space for payment terms and your business details, since a quote that states payment within 14 days and references late payment interest tends to get paid faster.

If you can answer those and perhaps post a screenshot of the dashboard with dummy figures, buyers will have a much clearer picture of what they are getting. Good luck with the sales.
