At present I pay Public Liability Insurance and also Professional Indemnity Insurance to two different companies. Do I need both?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Theresia
If you are trading you need Employers' Liability Insurance and if you are providing professional advice you should definitely have professional indemnity insurance at an appropriate level.
Getting it through one provider might help you gain economies of scales when it comes to pricing.
Speak to Bob Hannah at the Business Insurance Bureau he knows his stuff
Hi Theresia,
You need Public Liability Insurance, however the PI insurance is up to you.
You may find some suppliers request you have a level of PI cover in place before they will deal with you.
You don't need to get the insurance from the same company, however you would expect to get a better deal if you do.
As per other reply to your question, Bob at Business insurance is a great guy and will take good care of you (0141 332 7076).
Hope that's useful.

Thanks for the info. As far as I know, as I don't employ anyone, I don't need the Employer's Liabliity Insurance. I do need the Professional Indemnity Insurance as a requirement for my Practice Licence. I'll get in touch with Bob Hannah for more info.
Thanks very much for your advice.
