I still have my old BT Hub, but have recently switched to Sky Broadband, I was wondering if it's possible to use the BT hub to connect to sky Broadband, and if so how?

Is it because of the way the wireless signal is broadcast that the higher up the router the better?

Yeah. Generally, people keep their router on the floor or on a desk.

flashed something called the BIOS
Hi, I am new to this forum. I read this post with curiosity as I am having probs with Sky broadband signal strength. I was using the BT Home hub and this was fine for all the PC's dotted around the house. Then we switched to Sky Broadband connect which costs 17 pounds a month. Now I have no signal in any of the other rooms. As a previous post asked, Is it possible to use the BT home hub instead of the sky one? Can sky broadband come through the BT home hub ok? I dont want to move any routers if possible since it was working fine with BT.
Many Thanks for anticipated replies
