It would seem the bank are to face fine for poor service.

BBC NEWS | Business | Banks face fines for poor service

Do you think they will improve their service or will the fines mean nothing to them anyway?

I am not any banks greatest fan at the best of time, I think (not even touching on the present circumstance) that they are all as bad as each other.

Plus do you see any change in their behaviour as regards to improving their service to consumers?

But of course we do need them and perhaps it is time to stop 'beating' them up...are they ready to listen to what industry requires of them?

The start of daft over regulation begins. Who do you think will be picking up the costs the banks will incur in meeting all these new rules?

Anyway what constitutes bad service? a complaint that banks dont lend like they used to? ie taking too much risk and undercharging and generally being reckless given the risks of failure in the current climate?
