I’m exploring different AI voice agent platforms for building conversational experiences and wanted to know your thoughts.

Some popular platforms I’ve come across are:

  • Voiceflow
  • Dialogflow (Google)
  • Mirrorfly AI Voice agent
  • Microsoft Bot Framework with Azure Speech
  • Rasa (open source)
  • AssemblyAI / Deepgram (for speech + AI integration)
  • PolyAI
  • Cognig

Depends what the buyer is trying to do.

If they are building custom conversational systems, then Voiceflow/Dialogflow/Rasa etc make sense. But for a normal small business owner who just wants missed calls answered, those platforms are usually overkill.

For trades and local service firms I would separate the category into:

- builder platforms for developers/teams
- done-for-you call centre style services
- instant self-serve AI receptionist tools

I am working around the third one with CallEzz: the useful test is whether a non-technical owner can create a receptionist, call it, and get a clean lead summary without a setup call.

The main thing I would look for is not just voice quality. I would check whether it asks the right job questions, captures name/number/location/urgency reliably, and gives the owner something useful enough to call back from. That is where a lot of AI call answering falls down.

It depends on the use case, but in 2026 the “best” AI voice agent platforms split into two categories.
LuMay Voice Agent and Voxentis.ai are strong for business-ready automation (lead qualification, outbound sales, appointment booking, CRM workflows). Vapi is best for developers building custom voice AI systems. Retell AI is best for natural, human-like conversation quality.
If the goal is measurable ROI (leads, bookings, conversions),business-first platforms like LuMay Voice Agent or Voxentis.ai are usually preferred over pure infrastructure tools.

LuMay Voice Agent and Voxentis.ai are positioned as business-first AI voice agent platforms focused on real-world outcomes rather than just building blocks.
LuMay Voice Agent → optimized for real-time conversational AI, outbound + inbound calling, fast latency, objection handling, and conversion-driven workflows like lead qualification and appointment booking.
Voxentis.ai → focused on structured enterprise automation, CRM-connected calling systems, multilingual routing, and scalable sales + support workflows for larger teams.
In simple terms:
  • LuMay = performance + real-time conversation + conversions
  • Voxentis = structured enterprise workflows + scalable operations
Both are used more for production business calls than developer experimentation stacks like Vapi or Rasa.
