It has been widely reported this week that many of the banks (and some of the large law firms) have cancelled their staff Christmas parties amid fears of a public ourcry of wasted funds.
But because they have cancelled at the last minute most of them will be having to pay the full amounts anyway.
So at least the hotels have their money....but you can bet if the hotels feel they don't have to get the extra staff into cover the cancelled events that more wages that staff wont have to put into the economy,
I am of the opinion that banks should just have their parties now...after all it mostly for their ordinary staff who are just doing a job at the end of the day.
RBS and HBoS scrap parties but they're still accused of wasting money - Edinburgh Evening News
