Each year I run an event in support of my chosen charity www.blesma.org

This year we have 20 individuals who have all lost limbs, some more than one. We try to give them a few days doing adventure activities that maybe they thought were beyond them in order to help build confidence.

Just highlighting the real cost to real people of what we as a country get up to.

Wonderful charity and wonderful work.

I had a thought similar to yours when I got sick from the stress of finishing up and launching the big project I recently did for my chosen charity. Yeah, so what if I was struggling to breathe and felt so stressed that I could barely function. That's what families dealing with the illness go through every day. We all could stand to be humbled like that from time to time.

That's great, what are the events you run for the charity?

Good to see so many people on here who actively work with charities. I'm amazed at the amount of time SBFers give up for good causes.

we opened up an orphanage in pakistan for the children who lost family during the kashmir earthquake and my family in india have a school where 10% of the children are street children and get free education, food, and uniform while they study. also there is a company here who makes water filters and we sponsor those to go to india to clean water and also provide free water to street people especially the untouchables in india who have no access to clean drinking water

I run the BLESMA on and some other military focused charity events for free as that is my background and I like to put something back.

I also run charity events for a large range of the major UK charities each year on a discounted basis. On a normal year we help them raise over £100k sometimes much more.

That's a good cause and the events seem to be bringing in some serious cash for UK charities.

Hopefully I'll see you on Third Sector Forums one we launch later on this month!
