Recently I've seen a few websites / businesses popping up, charging for self proclaimed "AI co-pilot" tools to help franchise businesses.
By the looks, These tools claim to help write franchise documents (including agreements and ops manuals) and do territory planning. Obviously they're behind a pay wall / form to get access to a demo.
Given that franchising is such a refined and hands on process that needs careful planning, would you actually rely on AI tools for any part of franchise recruitment? Is it worth the risks? That you will more than likely have to pay for a lawyer or franchise Consultant to review and amend the AI output anyway, why wouldn't you use them in the first place?
To me it sounds a bit like trying to find a shortcut to franchising a business. I've used Chatgpt enough times to know it misses out critical elements of what I ask it to do, or produces generic output that just doesn't seem human enough.
Has anyone successfully used AI to franchise or grow their business? How much dependence on a third party did you need after you used the AI tool?
I'm not a franchisor but have worked with franchise companies, so am aware that there are many specialised companies that do territory mapping. Does AI actually compete ? Or is it a novelty that is getting too much talk about.
