In the early days many people were astounded by the huge level of financial assistance offered by the UK government to businesses impacted by the coronavirus. Fast forward a few weeks and we seem to have become used to this level of financial assistance from the government. What, if anything, would you have done differently to the UK government to help businesses?

I think the UK government has gone above and beyond what many had expected in terms of financial assistance to help beat the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on the UK economy. One criticism might be the speed at which money has been released which especially for self-employed/furloughed employees has been a little slow.

I agree! The only downside is the massive amount of debt that the UK has now amassed(is it £3 Trillion?) and government opponents are saying they are not doing enough. To be able to support everyone through this crisis the way that opponents want will probably cost £6 Trillion! What do they do?
