You can use social media marketing, influencers marketing, PPC advertisement, email marketing, etc.

It depends on the type of business you are running.
Some business grows with referral contacts, other needs online marketing to get in touch with prospect clients.
The best and easy way to promote your business is Social Media Marketing with Facebook official page, Twitter handle, LinkedIn page, Instagram (If needed).
Other ways are Email Marketing, Blogs, Press release, etc.

For someone who’s been working with this Internet marketing agency for quite a long time now, I’d definitely suggest you consider SEO for your business. Working with SEO experts will allow you to have a great-looking and user-friendly business website that ranks well and has engaging and relevant content. Such factors are very important if you want to appeal to many online users, which can become your (regular) customers in the long run. Not only that, SEO can help you build your brand in a much more effective way and get ahead of your competition. It is not easy to build a good reputation in the online community, but having an effective SEO campaign might do just the trick.

In my opinion, in order to make your business more profitable, you should consider an online platform.

And after you come up with an app idea, you have two options - either plan and create an app yourself if you can, or hire an app development company that will do everything for you.

Search Engine marketing is now far harder than it was when I first went into business, nowadays you can easily end up spending huge amounts of time with little to show for your efforts,

For quick results, I'd recommend social media marketing/paid posts or email marketing (depending on how big your contact list is). But your long-term strategy should definitely revolve around creating SEO-friendly web content and blogs. To grow your email list and generate further traffic, come up with a valuable lead magnet as bait (such as a white paper/brochure or competition) and set-up a landing page for people to submit their details.

However, as the others said, it's hard to pinpoint a strategy without knowing what industry you're operating in.

Hope that helps :)

I would look at:-

- Social media (content)
- Social media (images)
- Forums
- Guest posting

Social media marketing seems easy because you just post stuff on your phone. But you'll only get 3% of your business from there, and you'll have to post 35-50 pieces of unique content for 3-5 years.
SEO starts working from day 1 and gets better the more effort you put in. With everything, constant effort is key. Daily, weekly and monthly...

Social media will only get you a maximum of 3% of your online revenue, but to do that you'll have to post 35 - 50 pieces of unique content for 3 - 5 years.

Social media ads & shoutouts in you go that way. YouTube video ads are cheap right now.

Marketing is always changing. Gone are the days of running online advertising is the king now. Local businesses seem to be lagging when it comes to having an online presence and making the most out of the internet. These are the top ways to promote your local business online.
1. Search Engine Optimization
2. Active Social Media
3. Email
4. Local Influencers
5. Google AdWords

There are many ways to promote your business of which most of them have already been mentioned in the above thread. However and depending on your niche, I will advise not to underestimate ''niche-specific online directory/platforms''.

There are many ways, you just need to first find your customer, niche and spending cost. After that you need to analyse your spending and income. With paid you need to focus on Seo. SEO is the long lasting techinque to get customer,

The best way to promote your small business is by doing SEO. First of all, you have to list your business website on google and rank it as you have to put it on no. locally. So for it, organic SEO will help you out. After it, you can go for paid SEO also to make your business on a larger scale by spending some more money. But in my opinion, the best way will be organic SEO.
