Hi All,
I hope were all geared up for Christmas and New Year, both on a personal and business level of course. The last thing you want to do is get into the full party swing and forget the VAT change as of 1st January.
As detailed on the HMRC website (www.hmrc.gov.uk),you will see the VAT rate is returning to 17.5% from 15%.
Obviously this depends on the tax point for each of your invoices so please take extra care, the last thing you want to do is - (1) invoice a customer using an incorrect VAT rate or code or (2) pay to much VAT on a purchase
Not sure what accounting systems you all use, but just thought i'd give a heads up, especially to those who use a spreadsheet based system.
Kind Regards
Neil
