The Moo Directory has had a face lift

hi everyone the Moo web directory has just had a facelift any comments would be great ta.

I like the feel of it as well, the little cow certainly gives it a different appeal . This site has a directory and I'm wondering whether I should bother. Very few people post in it so I would question whether anyone sees any benefit in it.

Everyone seems to own a directory but the consensus seems to be that being in 1 or 1000 makes very little difference. If thats the case then maybe I should shelf the SBF one?

I tend not to register with directory services. About the only one that benefits websites in any way is ODP - Open Directory Project which is referenced by a few of the search engines.

The only other one I've go the company details on is gumtree.

I would say after reading the faststart seo book that posted. You should check if the categry page your thinking about is indexed by the search engines, and if it is then it would be worthwhile.

I've tried to get listed in the ODP but never had any luck I submitted my site about 7 months ago, and not a peep from it!!! I wonder who long you should leave it before you try again.

Anyway, site looks great Kevin, love the cow, definetly stands out.

You need to hassle the ODP to get listed.

Have you done an inbound link search for your site to see if ODP is linking to you?

i have lisited in your scottish borders directory and i would advise submitting to directories as good source for links ODP can take an age to list you website all depends on the cat. who the editor is and how much a back log there is
