There is a computing magazine called PC Advisor which you can get at any newsagent. Each issue comes with a DVD full of the latest free and trial software which is mostly utilities like drive cleaners, antivirus and antispyware, memory tweakers, and the like. The DVDs are pretty hit or miss but you are guaranteed to get enough software with each issue to see you through any basic computing problem; at the very least, your computer will run a little better and safer.
