I recently had to hire a office for a couple of days in the Dumfries area and the only thing I could find which fitted the bill (a desk, chair, mobile phone reception and a 3G mobile broadband reception) was a room in a hotel. It was ok - they set up a desk in a bedroom and removed the bed but it was on the expensive side - £160 for 2 days.

Anyone have an opinion on the going rate for a short term office or know of an alternative to hotel - or want to earn a few quid by hiring out a spare desk now and again? I'm next likely to require a few days of space in mid August.

I reckon you'll pay anything from £10 to £30 per hour, possibly a flat day rate of between £150 to £200
