Is it worth having a "Share" button on selected pages (such as AddThis - Social Bookmark & Feed Button Builder).

Would incoming links be classed as spammy or otherwise by Google etc.

1. Yes - definitely. It adds weight to your site because the "social network" approves of your content
2. No - it doesn't matter who links to you. If you link to spammy neighbourhoods then you will get penalised.

We have it on our site. Social bookmarking is an excellent way to increase traffic and broaden the profile of your website.

Just do it!
