Scottish Start-Up Summit in San Francisco is part of The Scottish Start-Up World Tour where over the next two years we aim to run inspiring entrepreneurial events in six countries. All the summits are not-for profit events organised by We Are The Future.

This summit is about inspiring Scottish and American entrepreneurs over a week long period in one of the worlds most exciting entrepreneurship environments. Start-ups will have the opportunity to engage with the world's leading organisations as well as learning from Scottish and US entrepreneurs based in San Francisco.

Competition
We want to take the best Scottish based start-up businesses to San Francisco with us for a week long entrepreneurial experience with some of the most exciting new start ups in the world, ending with the Start-Up Summit on 26th July.

Entry Requirements
  • Actively trading for less than 18 months - (by 26th July 2014)
  • Applicant under 30 years old - (by 26th July 2014)
  • Business based in Scotland i.e you are primarily working Scotland - (by 23rd June 2014)
  • One application per company

How to enter

We appreciate that for an entrepreneur “time is money” so we have attempted to make the competition as straightforward as possible. Each applicant must submit a 30 second video for consideration. This video should answer one question “How would you benefit from attending the “Scottish Start-Up Summit in San Francisco?”

Once we have reviewed all submissions a short list of eighteen companies will be selected. The short listed companies will then be required to deliver a five minute presentation to a selection panel where they will explain how the trip and attendance at the Summit could benefit their business.
