Scottish Pension Relief And The New Income Tax Bands

Seems as though the Scottish government's new income tax bands are going to cause a little confusion and extra work for those claiming pension relief on their income:-

If I was "Mystic Meg" I would suggest this was a precursor to the Scottish government demanding the creation of a Scottish Treasury to manage all Scottish tax revenues and reliefs, etc.

The problem is that companies with employees are the ones who will need to do the extra work with no financial assistance from the authorities. Is this really fair?

In my experience you need to use an accountant to make sure you get all of the tax relief YOU can get which should help to offset any additional expenses in connection with the new pension rules.
