This story caught my eye this morning from the BBC.

Apparently the big five banks are recruiting current and retired bankers to become mentors to small businesses. Am I the only one to think this is a bit like putting a square peg in a round hole? What does a former bank employee know about running a business?
Maybe i'm doing them a disservice but to me it still feel like bank are out of touch with what they need to do to help small businesses prosper.
The FSB statement at the bottom is also laughable. I've never felt the FSB really stood for much (based on my past experiences of them) and this just helps to highlight this.
