RAF Career - Personnel Support

Hi all

I'm in the process of applying for a Personnel Support role in the RAF. I don't have the qualifications to apply as an Officer (it seems daunting anyway!) so I'm applying as an Airmen, which is where you start and work your way up.

The prospects seem amazing, I've spoken to my cousin who's a Medic in there and he absolutely loves it! I respect everyone who works for our country, and to possibly be a part of that just seems amazing. Obviously you get sorted out with your pension, health care, eye care (they'll regret considering me with the state my eyes are in lol!) and so many more benefits. In the career I'm looking at, moving abroad is quite likely, and although most 17 year olds would find this frightening, I'd relish the opportunity. After all, who could argue about finish a hard day at work and sitting in your garden in Cyprus? I sure wouldn't!

I'm working my way towards a Level 2 Business & Admin qualification at the moment, however hopefully by the time the RAF have made a decision, I'd have earnt it and it would look even better on my record.

Truly exciting times ahead :)

Ryan
