When you say printing, can you delve deeper? Do you mean as in newspaper production, posters?

Digital, litho - so posters, leaflets etc

I'm not, however we design basic print stuff like leaflets, posters, business cards and the like for our customers.

Ah, so you use programs like InDesign etc? I get involved in the design side sometimes, but we have an in-house studio team who deals with that

That and Quark. What do you use it for at work then?

 

[Ryan]

Quark is good, we tend to stay away from it if we can though. Adobe programs just seem to be getting more and more popular lately!

If my family ever want anything printing, bearing in mind there's more to print then anyone thinks (like crop, bleed marks, images being a certain dpi),then I normally design them so everything is OK with them

I am being sent on an indesign course in a few months, it is mainly for beginners though.
