New Business Branch, Success!

Okay, so a lot of you will have heard about my new branch, a music school in another part of the country. Well, I have been offline a lot over the past month or so, and with good reason!

We have the contract signed on a property, and we're well on the way to getting the place decorated and set out the way we need it.

We were worried that the previous business would need to stay for a little longer, but they didn't, are now out, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that we will be able to open in January instead of this time next year as originally planned.

We won't have all of our staff in place by that time, perhaps just one or two instruments offered, but it's better than nothing, and will start to bring that all-important revenue.

The whole thing has suddenly started to look very exciting indeed, and I can't wait to see how things carry on!

Well done you! I have been watching out for this post and I have finally spotted it. You must be relieved, I know it's been a bit difficult for you to manage to pull everything together for this venture, so it really is fantastic that you've finally managed to do it. January feels really soon as well so no doubt you have plenty of work to do in that time.

If this all goes to plan, do you think you'd be likely to open up other branches, or is the plan to stick to the two that you now have?

Thank you! It's been a long road as I've said, but we have indeed got there, and we couldn't be happier about it. I only wish that I could spend more time there myself, but all of the kids who I teach at the original branch are back after their summer holiday now, so I can only get there late evenings, which I have been doing because I really need to start setting things up properly. It is very exciting though, and something that I am looking forward to opening properly. Time will tell how successful it's going to be I suppose, but I do have high hopes at the moment.

Edit: Sorry I forgot to add this - we are hoping for more branches, but will stick with these two for at least a year or so to build up the numbers and train the staff properly, and then we will be looking for the next place to open.

If it's something that's working for you, then you might as well try to expand it if you possibly can. And I'm sure that you would have to have very little involvement in the other buildings if you hired somebody who was capable of running them for you. You could just sit back and enjoy the profits rolling in, and look forward to seeing the concerts at the end of the year!

Managed to read a little bit about you since I signed up, and I really feel as though I've been able to follow your journey on here, it's great. Just from reading these posts shows how you can go from having an idea to making it a reality, and I feel like this is a really positive thing that people could gain from signing up to the forum. Well done mate. I would love to be as successful as you at some point and open another garage, but I'm not sure I have the drive for it in the same way that you do!

Would be interesting to hear an update on this business thread after just over 3 years - hopefully things have gone from strength to strength?
