New Banking Code cracks down on out of date software

An interesting article below on The Register about changes to the banking code that says if you dont have up to date anti-virus etc then you could be held liable for any losses incurred while using online banking. Interestingly it applies to consumers as well as businesses. Another case of the banks covering their own arses???

I agree. . . how can they tell if you have the right anti virus software without doing some Big Brother type work of their own? This is kinda scary. . .
