Okay, this is a long shot - and I'll post this on another forum I'm a member of, too, but I'm hoping someone clever can answer this ... I'm stumped with this one...
I use a software programme called Winscribe. It's a programme where clients of my client phone in and record their audio to be transcribed. My client has recently done an upgrade and dropped on me like a bomb the following information:
"Any version you have of .NET Framework will have to be uninstalled and you'll have to install .NET Framework 3.5 SP 1.
So this sounds simple enough, and I went along to Add or Remove Programmes, uninstalled the version I had, downloaded the new version from the link they gave me and tried to install. That's where the problem came ... it gets to the end of the installation scroll bar and just sits and sits and sits (I'm talking I left it for six hours).
So I emailed my client and asked him for advice, he sent it onto his IT guy who sent me a tool which was supposed to make sure all prior versions were removed and to smoothly install the new one ... did all that, still got the same problem ...
so if there is anyone there with any insight into this at all I'd be so glad ... as I'm losing business and work with each passing day that I can't get this working.
TIA.
