My Leaflets

In a short while I will be looking for someone to print leaflets for my Reiki business. I thought this might be a good place to start before I google and research what's on offer.

Does anyone have a leaflet printing business on here who would get in touch and let me know costs etc?

Sorry I'm not in the know already as to who has what business here, I've not had too much time to go through a lot of the threads since joining.

Thank you for any help that might be forthcoming.

If you're looking for help getting the flyers designed, we can help you out with that!

If you just want the printing try Advantage Media - we use them as they are very cheap, high quality and fast delivery.

Not been let down by them yet.

Thank you Lynne for your help. They are already designed and ready to go, just need a printer. I will look into Advantage Media, nice to get a recommendation for someone.

Hi Sue,

I used Sense Creative for my last batch of business cards and was very pleased with them. If your not working on tight timescales get a few to send you a sample pack that way you can make a better judgement :)

Hi Sue,

Sorry to put a spanner in the works but I know a Reiki practitioner in Edinburgh. She says that doing mailshots is a complete waste of time.

She started off doing reiki sessions for tinnitus sufferers a couple of years back. She gets all her business from word of mouth, gumtree, craigslist and Google local business center.

All the adverts are free and you don't even need a website.

Link to gumtree -> Reiki - Glasgow - Glasgow - Gumtree

Link to craigslist -> craigslist: glasgow classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events

Link to google local -> www.google.com/local/add

Hope that helps

Stuart

ps Forgot to say - if you've already got your adverts designed why not send them out as PDF's via email marketing. You can get free 30 day trials online. dotmailer do a trial.

I agree with Stuart on this one. Generalised mail-shots are a waste of time.

My conversion rate for a mail-shot with a 10% discount flyer is less than 4%.

Having said this... I do another mail-shot that's a bit more intelligent. We search for insecure wireless networks, and we mailshot the houses that have them with their router model and their SSID.

This kind of mail-shot gets me well above 30% conversion.

So mailshot might not be a lost cause, you just have to make sure you do something that will get peoples' attention.

Hi Sue

I agree with the replies from both Stuarts above.

The problem with leaflets and flyers is 'selective' distribution......get your target market right and direct marketing can be a winner for you (ie ...profitable).....but get it wrong and it can appear to be a waste of money.

Although having said that........any kind of promotional literature is a good thing as long as you can measure the response you get to your mailing.

Every piece of direct mail we produce should follow the AIDA principal

Attention
Interest
Desire
Action

and irrespective of whether it's a sales letter, brochure, flyer or simple e mail if the above is used as your guideline and design and distribution costs are low....then it will prove a profitable exercise.

Good luck with the mailshot

John

Thanks so much for all your advice and opinions on my request. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you , will also look into Sense Creative and the sample pack is a good idea, will do that.

Thank you Stuart. Will get on to craigslist and google local. I've already done gumtree, yell, dell, thomsons, brownbook, city visitor, ecademy, linkedIn for all the free advertising. I did deliver some leaflets through the doors about 3/4 years ago locally and I had quite a few folk come for treatments from that exercise. One person in particular has been a regular off and on. The e-mail marketing is a good idea and one that I will look into. I do have it as a pdf file but not sure how to go about it. Will look into dotmailer.

Stuart (Admin),thanks for the info and I agree that the advert has to catch people's attention and I think mine is not bad in that respect, it's quite different, (I think) :)

John, thanks for the advice, I like the AIDA principal and I think I was very successful on my last leaflet advertising campaign because I got them all designed and printed free by a professional family member. The quantity was quite small though so that's why I thought I'd look into getting a large batch done.

Thank you all again, you have given me so much help and information and I have already started to work at it all.
